For our second visit to China we went to the small village of Zhucheng, which is about 2 hours drive from Qingdao on the Eastern coast. This is where the company ‘Drummers of the World’ has a factory and teaching facilities.
For the first three days, we taught djembe and dundun dance to a group of 70 beginner participants who came from all over China. We spent the following two days teaching djembe and dance to the employees of the business as part of a professional development experience.
As per usual, the Chinese showed us how adept they are at partying, singing and having high-energy fun. We have lots of plans for new projects and look forward to the next visit. Hopefully we’ll see some of them in Australia for Camp Samatou in November!
