After Camp Samatou this year, Naby Bangoura continued his world tour in Auckland, New Zealand. He was there for six days and ran a full weekend of workshops in African dance, dundun dance, drumming and song. Mitzi and a handful of her dance students accompanied Naby for more dancing fun (we can’t miss out while he’s on this side of the globe!)
On the Saturday night, Naby and the Melbourne dancers performed alongside ‘Tamani’ – an Afro-fusion ensemble based in Auckland. It was an awesome night. Thank you to Monica Evans for facilitating the workshops and the performance – she is a generous and energetic community leader!
