Miriam Lieberman is a renowned singer/songwriter from Sydney. She accompanies her powerful vocals with kora (21-stringed African harp) and acoustic guitar. Miriam’s music blends well-crafted songs with powerful and emotive performance. Her unique musical style has developed out of long periods of time spent immersed in the distant places and cultures of the music that inspires her and most of all out of a passion for song writing and performance.
Over the past 10 years, Miriam has travelled to West Africa numerous times to study, record and perform with acclaimed African artists including Toumani Diabaté. She is a long-standing friend of Mitzi and Simon and we are delighted to have her in here in Melbourne!
